The latest reports say the production version is now expected in 2027, not 2026, and it will be based on Mahindra’s INGLO electric platform.

Mahindra first previewed the BE.07 as part of its Born Electric family in 2022, and the model has been positioned as a more premium, futuristic SUV in the lineup.
The latest road-test sightings suggest that Mahindra is now moving from concept-style anticipation to real-world development, with a heavily camouflaged test mule spotted on Indian roads.
The BE.07 is expected to sit above the BE 6 and target a more practical mid-size SUV space. Reports indicate it could be a strong volume driver for Mahindra once it reaches showrooms, which shows how seriously the company is treating this model.
Launch Timeline
The biggest update around the BE.07 is timing. Earlier reports pointed to a 2026 launch, but newer coverage from multiple outlets now says the SUV is scheduled for 2027.
Some retailer-style listings still mention October 2026, but the latest official-style reporting from March 2026 points to 2027 as the more reliable timeline.

That delay may actually help Mahindra refine the product before launch. In a crowded EV market, getting the software, battery efficiency, and real-world usability right matters as much as the styling.
Design Direction
Spy-shot reports suggest the BE.07 will keep the concept’s coupe-SUV attitude, but in a more production-friendly form.
Expect a sloping roofline, flush door handles, sharp LED lighting, and a clean, aerodynamic body shape that fits Mahindra’s newer EV design language.

Some reports suggest the larger battery pack could deliver a WLTP range of up to 450 km, while other sources estimate a real-world range in the mid-400 km bracket.
